SAWCC: Modern Indian Design: Women Transforming Boundaries
Design is present in every part of our daily lives, from the utensils we cook with-to the clothes we wear-and the technology we interact with constantly. Among contemporary designers, there is a consciousness as to what Indian design is and how an Indian aesthetic might be represented. In this discussion, cultural commentator Priya Khanchandani of the Victoria and Albert Museum speaks with Tiipoi’s founder and creative director Spandana Gopal.
The event has been organised by SAWCC London – a creative network run by and for women arts practitioners, who are from, or have a keen interest in South Asia.
Date: Friday 24th October
Venue: Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6LA
