 Jamakkalams are colourful graphic floor coverings that are used widely in homes and public spaces as a ubiquitous everyday textile in South India. Designed by New York-based artist Sagarika Sundaram, our Jamakhan collection of hand handwoven cotton cushions and rugs is a contemporary take on this traditional textile. Woven from high-grade Erode cotton yarn and hand-dyed.

This product is hand-made from 100% cotton yarn. We recommend using a wet cloth or a mild cleaning solution to remove any stains that might spill onto it. Our cushion covers and throws can be hand-washed at 30 degrees if necessary but should be steam-ironed to remain flat.
